Eat & Drink: Aunty Kim's Korean Restaurant

My mum had been secretly complaining to me that she haven't been eating out since I was hospitalised. Further more, after I was discharged, I needed to stay home for confinement, thus, she had to cook for me everyday.

So on my first off day after I report back to work, I bought dad and mum out to our favourite Korean restaurant for dinner - Aunty Kim's Korean Restaurant.

Aunty Kim's Korean Restaurant had been here for a long long time. It is located along the stretch of Upper Thomson Road. Usually, it is fully seated at about 7pm. We were here early that day at 6pm, thus, it was still quite empty.

There is only 2 outdoor tables, and the rest are indoors.

All tables are nicely set.

These are complimentary Korean appetisers. The appetisers changes everyday, so we usually have different combinations each time we dine here. Best of all, the appetisers are refillable and super delicious...

This is my favourite. Dduck Pok Ki ($15). That's the Korean hot & spicy rice cake. The sauce is super delicious.

Meat lovers will love this. This is Korean BBQ, Doi Ji Mok-Sal ($22.00). We had the marinated pork shoulder and it was delicious. You can choose to have it cook at your table or by the chefs in the kitchen. Comes with side condiments of lettuces, garlic and sauce on the side. They also have other choices such as beef and chicken too.

Jab Chae ($16.00)
Korean glass noodle stir fried with vegetable. Strong taste of black pepper sauce.

I forgotten the name of this dish. I only remember that the name sounds like the Japanese dish 'Oden', and it is indeed similar to the Japanese Oden. It is a clear soup dish with fish cakes on skewers. Try if you don't take spicy dishes.

Service is good and can be better. We were there early that day and it was not busy, thus, service was attentive. During busy hours, it may be difficult to get attention, especially if you are seating in the partition areas.

There are 2 outlets in Singapore.

Reviews: Orbis Aqua Peeling Gel

I've never been a fan of peeling gel. I've tried a few brands before, but somehow, I don't think that it works. It's not that it doesn't clear the dead skin, but rather, I can use the peeling gel continuously 3 times on the same place and still, there are lots of dead skin. So it's either the peeling gel doesn't work or I've got too much dead skin.... I got this sample months back when I shopped at the Pop-Up store at Ion. I tot I should try this out since I've been enjoying some of their products. It's a clear gel, turns watery upon application. I like the fact that the dead skins clumps together instead of the usual when they will drop everywhere in the bathroom. I did a second 'test' right after the first usage on the same area. Guess what?  Orbis Aqua Peeling Gel is really up to my expectations.... The first application had removed quite a bit of the dead skin on my hands, and during th...

Make sure your family members, siblings and husband know where the bag is, so in case you really forgot, they can help you to bring over to the hospital. So what should we pack in the bag? I will list them out in 4 different parts. 1. Documentation  For Admission:  1. Mother's IC 2. Admission Form For Baby's Birth Registration 1. Mother's IC 2. Father's IC 3.
