Annette's WONDERFUL Playground

Time passed and it is already 2 years from my first post.  Happy 2nd Birthday to RainRain's 下雨天. And if you already realized, I've decided to change a new name for my blog!  Let me introduce you to Annette's Wonderful Playground.  This blog is really a playground for me. I got to make new friends, I understand myself a lot more, I had fun blogging about my loves. Looking back, I've grown up a lot. How have I change? Hmmm... Let's see what had happen during the past year... 1. I started on weekly jogging. Although it's just once a week, but better than nothing. :P The most important thing was I actually persisted all the way till I'm pregnant. Yeah!!! I'm also going to continue jogging after I give birth!! 2. I've quit smoking. Yes! After almost 18 years of smoking, I've quit! I really hope to start a family soon so to stop smoking is another step nearer to my target!!! 3. I got better skin.  I'm ac...

The most important thing in every relationship is to understand each other and share your thoughts and feelings. When you are happy, tell your other half and share your happiness.  When you are sad, tell your other half and I'm sure that they will want to try to make you happy.  When you have funny thoughts, say it out to make your other half happy.  When you are having some serious thoughts, tell your other half and get some advice.  Do not keep anything to yourself as it will cause misunderstanding, or unhappiness in relationship. So have you share anything with your other half yet???

Can you still remember the time when there was no smart phones, iPads, or any other tablets? What was our favorite pastime during that time when we are waiting for the MRT or bus? Now-a-day, everyone in the world had a common pastime, and that is 'lowering our heads everywhere we go' , in Chinese, '低头族'. Even if you are with your friends, or love ones, you'll still be pressing your phones all the way, isn't it? Just few weeks ago, while dining out, I saw a family of 4 dining at a restaurant, with minimal interactions. All 4 of them are playing with their mobile phones and iPads, and the waitress actually approached them more than 2 times to get their orders. After their food arrived, they still did not talk to each other, just eat and continue looking at their mobile phones and iPads. Why eat together if you do not intend to interact with each other? Set a day of outing and leave all your gadget out for the day. Interact with each oth...

Who says that surprises are for special occasions only? When is the last time that you have given your love ones a surprise?  For Mr Wonderful and me, we like to give each other surprises every now and then. It can be a little surprise lovey dovey notes, simple hand made gifts or surprise visits.... It is our way to show appreciation for each other. It need not be expensive gifts but a simple surprise that will make us close to our hearts. Show your love ones that you care by giving them some surprise now....

Valantine's day is just around the corner, and instead of the usual stuffs of gift guides, Valentine's Day dinner spread, I tot I can share some little notes or tips that can improve the relationship between you and your love ones.... So I need a name for this and the rest of the up coming little post..... Hmmm... How about calling them Rain's Love Notes? So here I go with my 1st note.... When do you say 'I Love You' to your love ones?  During their birthday, anniversaries, or Valentine's day? For me, I make it a point to say it once a day to Mr Wonderful each night before we fall asleep. You must be thinking, why only once a day, and why did I choose to say it before we fall asleep at night?  I believe in living my life without regrets. We will never know what will happen to us tomorrow, or rather, will we wake up again tomorrow? I know, it may sound ridiculous to you but that is life. We celebrated our 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary last week, 25th Nov 2013. It's already 2 years of marriage life with Mr Wonderful. I had made plans for the special day few months back. We woke up early at 10am, actually not that early, hahaaa, prepared ourselves and left home for lunch. We decided to go Swatow, serving Tim Sum and Teo Chew cuisine, at Toa Payoh. Upon walking in, the setting reminds me of my childhood, when dad and mum used to bought my brother and me out for our weekly Tim sum breakfast... It wasn't that busy on a Monday afternoon. We placed the order and waited hungrily for our food to arrived. Mr Wonderful starts munching on the peanuts appetizer. Taking selfies before the food arrives. The first dish, Crystal Pau, arrived after 10mins. The skin is soft & chewy, like mochi... Generous filling... The dumpling is big... Full of prawns.... Skin is soft and doesn't break easily.... ...

Gosh, time passes fast and counting down a few more days, it's gonna be my 2nd Wedding Anniversay. Looking back, I am greatful to have a wonderful hubby, who is always giving in to me, taking care of me. We went thru the worst moment together, when we lost our first child, and is greatful that he is by my side, giving me all the care and love, bringing me back to health. God has given my the best man I could ever find. I'm very bad tempered, but he is always very tolerent. I dislike doing household chores, and he is always doing it for me. I am very talkative, and he is always listening to me. He supports every decision that I make. He stands by me, whenever things go wrong. It is these little things that he do, shows me how much he loves me. It is these little things that we can do to make the marriage last.
