Baby Joy was born on 12th Dec 2015. The day I've been waiting for so long. I was crying buckets as my epidural wear off as I was trying to push. I got a fever during my labour and as soon as Baby Joy was born, we did not have any body contact (I was looking forward to actually) as she was brought under observation to monintor her body temperature.  It was like about 20 mins or so (I couldn't remember as I was crying due to the pain) later, the nurse brought baby Joy to me and I finally see her for the first time!!    She's a sweet baby...  As it was an assist birth, hence the bruise on her face, Dr told me that it will subside after a week. We went home on the 3rd day and started on my confinement with my mum helping me!! Ok, let's cut short on the confinement part as it was the usual things that we did! However, with my mum's approval, I got to wash my hair once every 3 days... And another thing that I missed during confinement was 'No need to do household chor...

It is never too early to prepare your bags for delivery. You wouldn't want to run around the house packing your bag after your water bag burst. It is good to make sure your hospital bag is ready at least 2 weeks before your EDD, or even earlier. And it must be place somewhere where it is easy to access in case of emergency. Make sure your family members, siblings and husband know where the bag is, so in case you really forgot, they can help you to bring over to the hospital. So what should we pack in the bag? Cot What I wanted: Ibenma Lifecot 5-in-1 Baby Cot $480 (Sale Price) What I actually bought: Playpen $200 Due to space constrain in my small small room, and after discussing with my mum, we decided to get a playpen with wheels.  Reason: After my ML, my mum will be taking care of my little girl for me, so having a playpen with wheels will be easier for my mum. She can wheel the playpen out in the living room during the day time, makes it easier for her to oversee the little girl while she's busy with other stuffs. I bought the playpen on the last day of the baby fair and they agreed to have it delivered to me in late November, when it gets closer to my due date.
