It's been a long time since Mr Wonderful and I have a date. Glad to spend some private time together for dinner without Baby Joy!

It was a surprise dinner date (3 weeks ago) as he just SMS me the venue 5 minutes before I off work.

When I reach the restaurant, there was a big crowd outside, waiting for tables. Mr Wonderful got 2 seats at the Sushi Counter which is our favorite whenever we dine at a  Japanese Restaurant.

There's a welcome drink for everybody. Never got to know what drink is that as the servers are always busy. We had a hard time trying to get their attention as everyone is attending to tables. There were a lot of table services such as tossing salad and cooking Sukiyaki by the table side.

My welcome drink

Quite nice, a little minty. The chilli padi looks scary, but you don't taste that at all...

Wagyu Toro Sushi $7.90
I am not a fan of raw beef, so I've got nothing much to saw about this. But the beef literally 'melts' in my mouth, so make it a suitable dish for first timers.

Time Bomb Maguro $9.90

An interesting dish where the staff will light fire to the dish and you get to seared your fish yourself. But it was a little too salty for our liking. However, it does go well if you are having a drink or 2...

Yaki Tetsu Tori Sukiyaki $12.90/pax
This is charge base on per person, minimum 2 persons required to order...

The staff preparing to cook for us!

Not sure if this table side cooking will last long as it takes like 20-30mins to finish cooking. Meaning you need to have a lot of servers on duty, otherwise, you'll need to wait for the server to finish with the first table before going to the next one.

Instead of the usual egg, they served the special egg sauce. Very interesting and it taste good.

The egg sauce actually help to neutralized the saltiness....

Our Sukiyaki. This is my favourite among all the dishes I've tried. Note: This is really a very sweet and salty version of Sukiyaki which is really close to the authentic taste. The soup is not meant for drinking... but if you give me a bowl of rice, I think I can finish everything!

Tori Kushi Mori $18.90
5 different taste in 1 platter....
Rikyu Style, Yuan Style, Saikyo Style, Nan Ban Style & Teriyaki Style. Other than the Nan Ban style, the rest a so so for me. The tartar sauce on the Nan Ban Skewer really enhance the taste of the skewer!! :)

Mount Fuji Nabe (Pork) $18.90

You'll love this if you are a fan of bean sprouts. There's a mountain of bean sprout hidden beneath the pork. Portion is big, could be shared among 2-3 paxs.

Wagyu Chazuke $23.90

In my own personal opinion, this is really not worth the money spent. For $23.90, it came with a slice of beef on a big portion of white rice and a teapot soup. The taste was so so and I feel that the the searing totally destroy the texture of the meat. I would rather order another portion of Sukiyaki instead with the money paid!

They also have an extensive list of beverages and the price is really reasonable.

Overall, I will still come back, but only for the Sukiyaki and beverages. I might try the other dishes instead.

Bye, 2013... Hello, 2014.... & Mini Giveaway

After all the celebration and parties to celebrate Christmas, so 2013 is coming to an end. Looking back into 2013, I've got a fair share of the good and bad...  Now that 2014 is arriving, it's time to plan for the future.... Yes! I plan that in 2013, but things are not going smoothly for me then.  But I'm gonna do that again in 2014, and the first thing I'm gonna do is.... To be pregnant again... Yes, that's my number one plan for 2014. I'm not young anymore, and I really do look forward to have a child of my own. I lost my child in 2013, and I'm not gonna let that happen again this time. I'm gonna take good care of myself this time and give birth to a healthy baby. Secondly, Mr Wonderful and I had gave up choosing a bto unit this year. It is because they are left with only second storey units, while we prefer a higher storey one. Hopefully, this year, we are able to to book a unit. Next, I hope I can have more time
