QOO10 - My Favourite Online Shopping Platform

This post is up for all my friends who are new to online shopping and you know who you are... Haha...

I'm sure that everybody knows about QOO10, previously known as Gmarket. I'm here to give you some tips on how to make online shopping at QOO10 a breeze, without the fear of being cheated.

1. Sign up for an account

The first thing to do is to sign up for an account.

2. Search for your products

Normally I will search for the products under the best selling category. It means that the item is very popular with a lot of buyers.

3. Check out the seller's/Shop's review

Compare and check the reviews. Look out for details such as quality, delivery and seller's service. I will normally skip products that are cheap but there's no review, as I don't like to take risks. I will rather spend a few dollars more to buy from reputable sellers/shops. Another thing to take note is that a lot of reviews doesn't mean that it is safe to buy. Do take the time to read through the reviews, and do take note of the more recent reviews. Do not take it for granted that a good review posted in Dec 12 will means that service will still be good. Judge from the more recent reviews instead.

Some sellers are very good, whereby they will SMS you to inform you of the item status, and normally these sellers are the most recommended ones.

4. Opt for Registered mail

Try to opt for registered mail to ensure that item reaches you safely, especially if it is from a oversea seller. An item via normal mail usually takes about 2 weeks to arrive from overseas. During the 2 weeks when the item is on delivery, it is impossible to track a normal mail. But for register article, you can check the status once it's been send out.

5. Post a review

Once you received the item, do take some time to confirm delivery and to post a review on your shopping experience, the quality of product you have bought. The seller only receive payment after you confirm delivery. Your review can also help others to choose a good seller, and at the same time, be rewarded with a Qstamp which you can use to draw for discount coupons for your next shopping.
