2nd Wedding Anniversary Celebration Part 2 - Staycation @ Hotel Clover

I had been searching high and low for a nice hotel for our staycation. Initially, I wanted to book the Studio full board package at Quincy, since it includes all meals. But changes my mind last minute when I browse thru Clover Hotel on Agoda.

I've accumulated some points on Agoda, and after converting the points I save about US$50 booking the Lavish Suite at Clover Hotel.

Clover Hotel is located at Bugis, near Arab Street. It's only a short distances from the MRT.

Clover Hotel is housed in a 2 story Shop house along North Bridge Road.
Upon entering, there are lots of antiques on display in the lobby.

Part of the lobby....

Gosh... I love that antique phone...

A very nice and comfortable sitting area next to the lobby.

We reach early at about 1pm in the afternoon. Room was ready so they allowed us to check in. Check in is a breeze.

Here's the corridor that leads to our room.

Room is big.

The chair at the other side of the bed, is a rocking chair...

Big comfy bed....

Outdoor Jacuzzi... Gonna enjoy the soaking with Mr Wonderful...

Interesting design...

This is gonna be a great idea for our new home....

The shower area is big and spacious...

Complimentary mini bar... 2 cans of drinks and Oreo cookies....

After all the photo shooting, we had some rest. We don't really have any other plans for the day except for dinner at Skyve.
It started raining heavily after a while and we both fall asleep on the comfy bed...

Woke up at about 5pm and had shower, preparing to go out for a walk before heading to dinner...

Been looking forward to the dinner for weeks... Had read about Skyve and am super excited.

Photo taking time again.... I got Mr Wonderful to sit near the tub and took a snap....

Heart the cool rocking chair....

Reviews: BB Laboratories Placenta Extract

BB Laboratories? Who? Call me suaku, but I have never heard of this brand before this. I did a quick check on the internet and found out that they are very popular with ladies in Japan & Hong Kong.  So here's a little introduction about them. BB Laboratories BB Laboratories is popular for their Placenta Skincare in Japan and Hong Kong. Their Philosophy, is to 'Listen to Individual Needs', developing products from the perspective of those who will be using them. I'm so excited to be able to get hold of a 8-piece Starter Kit - including their popular Placenta Extract - from a contest organized by Beauty Patisserie, to try and review. For your info, they are not yet available in Singapore, except buying it online from BestBuyWorld. BB Laboratories 8-Piece Starter Kit Let's see what's inside the kit? 1. Placenta Extract 2. Reviews: Orbis Aqua Peeling Gel

I've never been a fan of peeling gel. I've tried a few brands before, but somehow, I don't think that it works. It's not that it doesn't clear the dead skin, but rather, I can use the peeling gel continuously 3 times on the same place and still, there are lots of dead skin. So it's either the peeling gel doesn't work or I've got too much dead skin.... I got this sample months back when I shopped at the Pop-Up store at Ion. I tot I should try this out since I've been enjoying some of their products. It's a clear gel, turns watery upon application. I like the fact that the dead skins clumps together instead of the usual when they will drop everywhere in the bathroom. I did a second 'test' right after the first usage on the same area. Guess what?  Orbis Aqua Peeling Gel is really up to my expectations.... The first application had removed quite a bit of the dead skin on my hands, and during th...

Eat And Drink: Christmas with Starbucks & Final Giveaway for 2015

Have you tried the Christmas beverages from Starbucks?  美味しいです。。(Delicious in Japanese) This year Starbucks return with 3 returning favorites and a new creation, in both hot latte and frappuccino options. Latte Version Photo credits: Starbucks Singapore New Creation:  Christmas Panettone Latte Returning Favorite:  Peppermint Mocha Latte (Recommended) Gingerbread Latte Toffee Nut Latte Frappuccino Version Photo Credits: Starbucks Singapore New Creation:  Christmas Panettone  Returning Favorite:  Peppermint Mocha (Recommended) Gingerbread Toffee Nut  I've tried all the hot & cold flavors and I preferred the usual Peppermint Mocha in both hot & cold options. As for the new creation, Christmas Panettone, it doesn't give me any surprises at all. I think the dried fruits sprinkle doesn't do justice to the drink too.  Another item that I highly recommend is the Chocolate ...
