Be considerate when dining at a restaurant

A restaurant is considered a public place because the public are all welcome to enter the establishment. And because of that, it is important that customers can be considerate when dining out in restaurants, making a restaurant a nice dining environment for everyone.

Keep your volume down
Everyone and anyone can dine in a restaurant. There are business customers who will bring their clients. Parents who bring their babies. Of cos, I do understand that you may like to have a birthday celebration at the popular restaurant. If you know that you will be noisy, request for a private corner seating or rooms. Be considerate and don't let the other customers feel that you're a nuisance.

Take care of your children
There are lots of things going on in a restaurant. The waitresses are serving hot food or beverages and this is the most dangerous part. When a waitress is carrying food or beverage, it is very hard for a fast reaction if a kid is running around. When accident really happens, is it really the waitress's fault? There was once when 2 small kids about 3-4years old running around the restaurant chasing each order. Suddenly one of the kids fell down, and the parents made a big complain saying that the restaurant floor is slippery that's why that kid fell down. Is that really just the restaurant's fault? It takes 2 hands to clap, if the floor is slippery, remind the kids not to run.

Request for a piece of paper for your kids to draw or play
Some parents are very inconsiderate. In order to keep their kids busy, they grab whatever they can get their hands on for the kids to draw or play with, and that includes the menu. I ever saw a menu in a certain restaurant that was filled with colour pencil drawings and it was difficult to read certain words on the menu. Some kids friendly restaurants will have papers for kids to draw on or play with. Check with the waitress. It cost a lot of money to print the menus. I think you do not want the restaurant to put the cost into our meals by increasing the price.

Avoid dinner time if you only want drinks and desserts
Especially on busy dinner time during the weekends, my waiting list can go up as many as 20 tables within an hour. The worst senario was that the customer came in at 7pm for ice cream and seated till we are closed. Customers who are really looking for food for dinner do not have a chance to eat and restaurant needs sales to survive and normally dinner time is the period when most of the sales are coming in.

Avoid dining later than the restaurant closing time
Waitressing is a mentally and physically demanding job. We sometimes work more than 12 hours, standing, walking around. We really appreciate that customers can allow us to leave on time, get enough rest, so that we are physically and mentally prepared for the next day. Some waitresses may have a child at home and the child may be eagerly looking forward for their fathers and mothers to reach home. If you know that you will be staying till late, looked for restaurants with longer operation hours instead.

Be considerate and it will make your day better, as well as the waitress's too.

It's been a long time since Mr Wonderful and I have a date. Glad to spend some private time together for dinner without Baby Joy! It was a surprise dinner date (3 weeks ago) as he just SMS me the venue 5 minutes before I off work.  When I reach the restaurant, there was a big crowd outside, waiting for tables. Mr Wonderful got 2 seats at the Sushi Counter which is our favorite whenever we dine at a  Japanese Restaurant.   There's a welcome drink for everybody. Never got to know what drink is that as the servers are always busy. We had a hard time trying to get their attention as everyone is attending to tables. There were a lot of table services such as tossing salad and cooking Sukiyaki by the table side.   My welcome drink   Quite nice, a little minty. The chilli padi looks scary, but you don't taste that at all... Wagyu Toro Sushi $7.90 I am not a fan of raw beef, so I've got nothing much to saw about this. But the beef literally 'melts' in my mouth, so make

Bye, 2013... Hello, 2014.... & Mini Giveaway

After all the celebration and parties to celebrate Christmas, so 2013 is coming to an end. Looking back into 2013, I've got a fair share of the good and bad...  Now that 2014 is arriving, it's time to plan for the future.... Yes! I plan that in 2013, but things are not going smoothly for me then.  But I'm gonna do that again in 2014, and the first thing I'm gonna do is.... To be pregnant again... Yes, that's my number one plan for 2014. I'm not young anymore, and I really do look forward to have a child of my own. I lost my child in 2013, and I'm not gonna let that happen again this time. I'm gonna take good care of myself this time and give birth to a healthy baby. Secondly, Mr Wonderful and I had gave up choosing a bto unit this year. It is because they are left with only second storey units, while we prefer a higher storey one. Hopefully, this year, we are able to to book a unit. Next, I hope I can have more time
